Since 1949, there is no mail link directly between China mainland and Taiwan, all the mail and packets were transfered by 3rd region(HK, Japan?). On 15th Dec. this year the direct mail link recovered. There are many flights carrying mails and packets between multi ports.
Taiwan issued the ATM named 'Launch of Cross-strait mail links' on 15th Dec. It is interesting till afternoon of 14th, the post office announced the release officially due to politic issue.
Currently all the machines used black ribbon, on 26th Dec. there will be green print for celebrating new year show by Chungli post office, and on 27th the Tainan post office will use blue on machine number 088 for its 10 annv. of Philiately Service Center.
Just expecting the red print soon. :-]
