La Fayette, French aristocrat and military officer who served as major-general in the Continental Army for American Revolution.

Thomas Jefferson, American President who stayed in France as diplomat, later support France in war of Franco-England in 1793.

Benjamin Franklin, American Postmaster General who served ambassador to France.

Alexis de Tocqueville, French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America.

Rochambeau, French nobleman and soldier who participated in the American Revolutionary War.

Pierre Charls L’Enfant, was a French-born American architect and civil engineer best known for designing the layout of the streets of Washington, D.C..
